My name is Eliyusta Haule. And to me, the Dar es Salaam Maritime Institute (DMI) is more than just a place of study. It’s the foundation of everything I am today. I joined DMI with curiosity about ships and the ocean but graduated with a clear vision after completing my Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Shipping and Logistics Management and Shipping Economics.
Curently, I am pursuing a Doctoral Degree in Maritime Economics at Korea Maritime and Ocean University and serve as an Assistant Lecturer at the National Institute of Transport (NIT). I am also part of the core team of the Ocean Sciences Division Early Career Scientists (OS ECS) under the European Geosciences Union (EGU).
