3.    MyLOFT Digital Access: Enjoy convenient access to library materials from anywhere, at any time, with our MyLOFT platform. This digital access ensures flexibility and accessibility for all users, especially remote learners.

4.    KOHA Library Management System: Our KOHA Library Management System enhances your ability to explore and borrow library resources remotely. Discover materials and manage your account with ease.

1.    Enhancing Digital Access: We are continuously expanding our digital resources and improving remote access capabilities to meet the evolving needs of online learners and researchers.

2.    Supporting Research and Academic Success: We collaborate with departments to develop programs that align with curriculum objectives, support research endeavors, and promote academic publishing.

3.    Fostering an Inclusive and Accessible Environment: We are dedicated to making our resources and services accessible to all users, including those with disabilities. We leverage technology and adopt best practices in accessibility to ensure equitable access for everyone.

4.    Engaging the Community: We build strong connections within the DMI community and partner with local institutions to foster a culture of intellectual curiosity and lifelong learning. We host events and initiatives that promote knowledge sharing and engagement.

Library Policies

To ensure a productive and respectful environment for all users, the DMI Library has established the following policies:

  1. Borrowing and Access Policies
    • Eligibility: DMI students, departments, and staff are eligible to borrow materials. External researchers may request limited access by prior arrangement.
    • Loan Periods: Standard loan durations are 14 days for staff, but may vary depending on the type of material. Renewals are permitted if there are no pending requests.
    • Returns and Fines: Please return materials promptly to ensure availability for all users. Late fees may be applied to encourage timely returns.
  1. Conduct and Usage Policies

·       Respectful Environment: Please maintain a quiet atmosphere conducive to study environment.

·       Technology Use: Library computers are intended for academic purposes. Personal devices can connect to the library’s Wi-Fi network, provided users adhere to the institution’s acceptable use policy.

 

 

  1. Digital Resource Access
    • MyLOFT and KOHA Systems: Registered users can access digital resources remotely through the MyLOFT and KOHA systems.
    • Copyright Compliance: Users are expected to comply with copyright guidelines when using digital materials.
  1. Security and Resource Protection
    • Anti-Theft Measures: The library employs anti-theft systems and security tagging to protect resources. Tampering with security devices is strictly prohibited.
    • Resource Care: Users are responsible for the proper care of borrowed materials. Damages or losses may result in replacement fees or borrowing suspension.
  1. Visitor Access
    • Access for External Researchers: External researchers may access library resources by prior arrangement. However, access to some resources may be prioritized for DMI affiliates.
